Commissioned in 2013, this 10.6MW gas-fired power plant, paired with an 15km distribution network, provides reliable energy for the Lagos State Government Secretariat - the administrative center of the 6th largest economy on the African continent.

In 2017, Elektron solidified its commitment to sustainable energy by acquiring Alausa Power Limited, the operator of the Task Force Road IPP. Since then, the plant has become synonymous with operational excellence, reducing reliance on diesel power and cutting carbon emissions while enhancing the Secretariat’s energy efficiency.

Now, Elektron is taking this project to the next level with plans to expand its generation capacity to 30MW – a hybrid of fossil fuel and renewable energy - solar.
