Located in Victoria Island, a significant economic hub in Nigeria, Elektron is building a 30MW embedded power generation plant designed to redefine energy reliability for businesses, institutions, and residences. Powered by three (3) state-of-the-art 10MW unit sized Wartsila engines, the plant will provide 24/7 power to Lagos’ foremost business district, eliminating the need for over 3,000 diesel generators. This shift will significantly reduce operational costs for businesses while cutting carbon emissions, aligning with Lagos’ environmental goals.

The project’s dedicated feeder network spans 12.6km and comprises multiple 11kV and 33kV underground feeders, delivering steady, high-quality power. Approximately 13MW of capacity has already been subscribed to by key customers, resulting in over 40% energy cost savings. With plans to expand services to nearby business districts like Ikoyi and Lekki, the plant is paving the way for a robust, self-reliant energy network. Built under a "willing buyer, willing seller" model, the embedded generation plant is adaptable to future energy demands, ensuring scalable, long-term solutions for Lagos’ evolving needs. Beyond reliable power, the plant supports economic growth and community development by creating jobs during construction and operation phases, fostering sustainability, and reinforcing Lagos’ position as a regional hub for innovation and investment.
